Jeroboam

Are we sure about this? It is nearer a Jeroboam than Rehoboam - but actually 4/5 gallon falls between the two.

I agree with Mike, this is a bad question. 4/5 gallon is 3.6 litres. Jeroboam is 3 litres (4 bottles), Rehoboam is 4.5 litres (6bottles), so Jeroboam looks nearest, but take your pick.

Thanks for the comments. I posted the question because I wasn't sure which it was. I think I'll have to toss a coin.

An American dictionary gives this definition of jeroboam:

A wine bottle holding 4/5 of a gallon (3.03 liters).

remember a US gallon is smaller than the UK one. Thus 4/5 gallon is less than 3.6 litres
the answer is jeroboam confirm on answers.com
