Is there a time limit in how long a plastic bottle of Bacardi can be kept for? Found a bottle which must be at least 9 years old, will it still be drinkable? Thanks

I'm a bacardi tester, send it here and I'll let you know.
Unless there is a date code on the bottle, it'll be fine. I wouldn't have thought you would have a problem with bacterial growth, especially with regards to spirits (
atsgran, Jeza WILL need to test the entire contents to be on the safe side. You never know what lurking in the last sip!

Ha Ha Jeza, if I was a Bacardi drinker I'd test it myself but don't like it and wouldn't want to poison anybody

Thanks for help x
It's not exactly Bacardi, but I have a bottle of blue Smirnoff which I bought in 2000: as I am not much of a drinker there is still three quarters of a bottle left, but, if anything, the last time I had a short it was hotter in flavour. An improvement, I'd say.
It's still good to drink. Do you make eggnog? You could use it for that, or for soaking or stewing fruits for making cakes. Or even for making sangria.
I have a bottle of Martel (sp) Brandy given as a gift in about 1995. Not even opened. I assume it will still be okay. As I will not drink it I don't think I will ever know.
I sometimes dip into my Mum`s bottle of brandy that must be at least 10+ years old. I haven`t drunk it but I use it for cooking occasionally and it`s fine. I`m sure Bacardi will be too - the 40% alcohol helps.
I have Whiskey going on about seventy years. I assumed it's still good. I once asked on here about it and was told it was good, alcohol don't spoil.
Yes, despite the alcohol content, the only way that one can tell with wine or spirits is to taste it.
If it tastes "odd2" then it is off.
Sqad, is my whiskey older than you are? :)
LOL....
If it's been in a plastic bottle then no I wouldn't drink it. Paranoid probably but I'd worry toxins from the plastic would have been absorbed. One of those cheap bottles you get abroad in duty free was it?
You shy!? lol
