Buying Tyres online, finding tyre fitter

Has anyone ever bought tyres from an online retailer? Since most tyre fitting companies make profits from the mark up on the tyres they sell, they may be reluctant to fit tyres that you bought somewhere else.

Wondered if anyone had success with this and how much it cost to get a couple of tyres fitted.

Thanks

whatling tyres will fit tyres they haven't sold... but as mdoo98 said a back street garage is probably best. One that sells second hand tyres too.
I think its Mytyres on line, (www.mytyres.com) who have a network on garages around the country who will fit the tyres they sell online, you pick one closest to your post code.

Similar to impret-sir bigger buying power by association, local fitters. Please give us feedback on how you get on!

My local Tyre Sales wanted 75 to fit 4 tyres to my american car.............strange when at the time they were selling 4 budget tyres for a Fiesta (fitted) for 70 including valves and balance.
I found a small place that charged 7.50 each. The same price they would charge for a puncture. The guy told me that for a puncture they have to remove the tyre, repair it, refit and balance. So it made no difference if he put a different tyre on.
Shop around.

As Sir says try

Thanks, Ive looked at all the websites which include fitting which are definitely better than kwikfit etc. Was gonna go with blackcircles but theyve gone up a bit since I last checked.

Top Gear sells Yokohamas (S306) for 21each inc postage so if it cost 20 to fit them both then that would be the best option.

PS the price I gave was for 13" before anyone gets to excited.

How much do mytyres charge for fitting? Couldn't seem to find that out before giving my personal details.

Check out etyres they come to you and fit them at your address.
I've used them and they were as cheap as anyone else.

i've neva had a problem gettine companys to fit tyres, wheater bought from them or not, they all charge 5 for each wheel including a new valve and balencing. i would completely refuse to pay anything ova 7.50

Thanks.

just decided to go the black circles route, a wee bit more expensive but needed them done in the next couple of days whilst im off work. Next time I'll definitely arrange fitting myself

I've used http://www.bestbuytyres.co.uk a couple of times now and have found them to be good value and the service is always excellent.

It's a website that brings together all the independent tyre retailers in the UK so has a wide range and there are branches all over. Give it a go.
These guys have very good prices and offer fitting in the price - you pay the fitter direct which is easy.
