potted at any time, packeted dry root about now. They like to be left alone when planted so choose your space carefully and be a bit patient about flowering if you buy a young plant. I love peonies...I've got a pink scented one in my front garden...took ages to get going with flowers but its now stunning every year
Ah, yes... Peonia Albaflora...Scornfully known as the "Graveyard Flower" here in the U.S. They're super hardy, grow anywhere, bloom for a few minutes and then look really ugly... Best advice, if you still insist; is just buy the worst looking one you see, dry it out until the soil pulls away from its pot, throw it on the bare ground about where you mistakenly think you want it to grow and walk away... just walk away. Et voila... next spring there it'll be... forever ... and ever... and ever!
