Can anyone recommend a shampoo that won't iritate my scalp, I've tried loads and always seem to end up suffering.

When I get my hair done they usually comment on this and will recommend something with a hefty price tag.

I just wandered if any of the regular shampoos are good for this problem.

Someone told me about Johnsons ph, but I can't see it anywhere.

Try T-Gel, very good for itchy scalp syndrom!
Ask in the Chemist for "Polytar" (brown bottle) I've found its the only thing that stops dandruff itching scalp etc I use it all the time.

The Body Shop's Ginger Shampoo or Manuka Shampoo are nice, they cost 5 but they are made with the advice of Tricologists and are salon tested.

Nizorelle shampoo works very well
T Gel is excellent, but can change the colour on lightened hair. (There is a warning on the packaging) My doctor actually recommended the ordinary Head and Shoulders.
Try baby products.

my ex boyfriend used to have this problem, we spent a fortune on products then one after a few years I watched him rinse his hair after putting conditioner on - he went splash splash and then stopped! he had extemely thick hair and i realised what the problem was - he was leaving loads of conditioner on his head. he wouldn't have it and told me not to be daft and it was fine but I showed him how to do it properly ( I was a bit annoyed with him too for all the palaver we'd had) and it cleared up.

I don't know but perhaps you may be doing the same?

the trick to make sure its all completely rinsed off is to run your hand firmly across your scalp and if it squeaks against your hand, its clear - if it just runs across smooth, there is some left.

if not, try a cider vinegar rinse

try selsun-you can only buy it over the counter at the chemist.
I'm not sure of a chemical substance which can aid this but i usually find when part of me itches (usually my testicles) a good scratch will do the trick.
