Hi folks, I've just treated myself to a pizza stone and a pizza paddle, both of which I am thrilled with, and it brings pizzas up a treat. However, I seem to remember hearing said that you should sprinkle some flour or ?semolina on the stone before placing the pizza base on it to cook in the oven. When I baked the first pizza on it at the weekend, a little bit stuck to the stone, only a little, but I would like to avoid this in future. would be grateful for some advice, please. thanks. Chox.

Flour works fine for pizzas on a baking tray so it should work for pizzas on a stone.
I use polenta or semolina, whichever packet is closest to the front of the cupboard.
We use either semolina or polenta too :)
