That would be nice, but I'm of the impression that those from Co. Offaly are not regarded as being the sharpest knives in the kitchen drawer and that's where part of my family hail from.......(unless you too are from there then everyone born there is brighter than Einstein!) ;-)
I think Queenie could use a bit of cheering up, this loss has hit her pretty hard. It's the first time that she's lost anyone of her own age.

Well I'd hve to agree with that Hedder. I only ever met a few of Nunn's relatives and they were nice. Tell you what though. Before Queenie was born I was in hospital for quite a while, anyway a few of the midwives were Irish girls and one day I asked her which part of Ireland did she come from, she said to me, it was such a small place I'd probably never heard of it, but she came from Co. Offaly, to which I replied the my Nunn came from Tullamore
she was a bit shocked - not often you can surprise a midwife!

Nunn is just my shorted version of what we kids called our grandmother - she was Nunnun - it was my oldest cousin who called her that and the rest of us followed - Nunnun was an O'Shea. I'm off to find an Irish map and try to locate Kilkenny (we didn't study the geography or Ireland when I was at school)

Found you ! We have a St Mary's here where I live, (though not a cathedral)
Funny thing when I put Map of Ireland into the search engine it gave me a map of one of the Orkney Islands where there is a town called Ireland! Sould I be surprised? Not really we have a Moscow here in Scotland, nice to be able to see where you are - I'm east of Edinburgh, the next Open Golf Tournament will be held a few miles from where we live - won't be going anywhere near the coast roads when that's on!

It can be a total nightmare during the golf, and the drive along the coast can be rather nice on a summer day. We never go into the city centre of Edinburgh at all in Agust when the Festival is in full swing, sometimes we may venture in for a comedy show, but it would have to be someone pretty special.
Ed Byrne maybe, we saw him a couple of years back, and Queenie and I were in the audience at Michael McIntyre's comedy Roadshow from Edinburgh we enjoyed both shows - she's really big on Ed Byrne and Michael McIntyre she'd love to see Kevin Bridges live and Patrick Kielty too! I bought a dvd of Patrick Kielty and she's forever borrowing it! My stuff seems to be hers as well!

I'm glad I have her you know. She was always a Daddy's girl until her started his present job, he works a weird shift pattern and we're never sure when he'll be here (except for weekends) and she and I have grown closer over the past few years which is great for me as she always preferred Daddy (unless she was ill) I just hope she's going to sleep well tonight.

Goodnight Hedder, sleep well.
Catch you another time, enjoyed our chat!
