Router Troubles

I am using my Virgin Superhub as a modem only and have connected a TP Link 'n' router.

It works fine, fast and strong signal all over the house but sporadically the wifi signal cannot be found by any of my computers, phones, tablets etc. This can happen twice a day, once a week or once every few weeks. There seems to be no pattern.

The lights on the Superhub are as they should be when this happens. The router lights are all on, too, with the exception of the Sys light. Switching the router off at the plug and turning it back on solves the problem - until the next time.

I have updated the firmware; done the whole 'turn everything off, wait, turn Superhub on, wait, turn router on....' palavar several times.

Can anybody shed a light on the problem and offer a solution, please?

Virgin won't help because the Superhub is working fine and there is a stable, constant internet connection to it.

The problem is with my router.
