is this not supposed to be 1/3 of 10?

if so, the answer (according to google) is 4.

the statement "If half of 5 were 3" tries to confuse the mind so should be rejected as irrelevant. Half of 10 is 5.

It is supposed to say. If half of 5 were 3, What would one third of 10 be?

If of 5 = 3, then 5 = 6, so 10 = 12, so of 10 = 6

but 6 = 5, so of 10 = 5 (we can figure this out . . .)

If you count on your fingers, from 1 to 5 the mid point is the 3rd finger, therefore half of five is 3...........The rest is up to you
