No. Jason is the mass murderer from the Friday 13th series and Michael Myers is from the, infinitely better, Hallowe'en series. The films aren't really connected except that they are part of the 'stalk and slash' genre.

No michael myers was first introduced in 1978 by John carpenter jason was prob first introduced in 1980 or 1981. Even though there are only 8 halloween movies only 7 of them featured Michael Myers.Halloween 3 had nothing to do with the Michael Myers character or any of the characters that had featured in the first 2 Halloween movies.The friday the 13th movies are up to number 10 the last 1 being Jazon X which was set in space.
