I am curious about why some Messerschmitts 109's had different nose colours, I cannot find a definitive answer on the internet, there are groups of planes with red noses and groups with yellow, there are also black and silver. Does anyone know why they used these colours?

Some information here. Yellow to avoid friendly fire, later on offensive missions. Black, white - winter camouflage. http://imodeler.com/2013/01/camouflage-and-markings-of-the-messerschmitt-me-109/
