I have rencetly installed new RAM in my pc. And now sometimes it turns off by its self. This never used to happen and has only started since I have installed the new RAM. I get an error messege saying that The system has recovered from a serious error. Does anyone know whats going on here?

Thanks

In windows xp you usually get an option to tell microsoft of the problem. They are usually caused by out of date drivers - usually the sound card driver. Download drivers for your sound and graohics card and see if this cures the problem.

or maybe your ram is crap. did you buy it on ebay? some motherboards can only handle so much ram too.

have you installed this ram alongside your old one or just replaced the old one?
