I'll keep it brief.
Have you ever had a hardwork/high maintenance friendship?
Did you keep it up at the level of attention they needed ,did you give it up as a bad job or did find a middle ground that was suitable for you?....

I have one idea what you are talking about.." Hard work, high maintainence"

Could you explain please?
Bending over backwards trying to accommodate a selfish partner?

Sandy....LOL..I tried to "keep it up".......there being no middle ground.
Sqad....oo err !!
Once was introduced to a girl about my age who appeared to think that any other of her peers were her servants and there to pamper her and prop up her ego, so she lasted just the once going out to do 'girly' things i.e whatever she wanted to do where she would be the centre of attention.. Life's too short for all that. She treated her best friend like a doormat.

yes this friend is like that. she expects everyone to revolve around her. recently one of our friends arranged a Sunday early evening get together at a nice pub for a drink and chats and we were goin to get a bite to Eat. it had been arranged for a few days and we had arranged our day around it. then at the last minute as this friend for whatever reason didn.t want to go out so we all had to change our arrangements and meet at her place. she's always making plans and changing them or cancelling at the last minute.

that is just one example of many. and i can tell other friends are getting a bit fed up of it too. we all got together another time to watch a friend play in a music concert and decided to go for a meal after. you would think it was the friend who had played in the concert who could decide where to eat but no hard work mate had a preference and had quite a row with other friend until she got her way. it was very uncomfortable and ruined the day a little. she seems to enjoy gettin everyone to do what she wants regardlessre
