That's how they make the majority of printer-related profit.

I don't know if it is still the case but HP incorporated the print head with the ink reservoir. Consequently they are very expensive to operate. I had one once and it was nothing but trouble with blocked jets. The only decent run I got was by using Calidad ink to refill it. The original ink blocked the head every time I used it.

HP also uses a tortuous paper path which allows the paer to be fed from the front. Paper jams were common.

HP make good laser printers but I would never buy another of their cr@p injet printers. Also avoid Epson.
Cannon make the best inkjet printers.
There are so many inkjet cartridges available because every models are designed differently. But i don't have this kind of problem because i am using Inkjet Printer for Inkjet Coding. And i bought it from "citronix uk" which offers Inkjet coding and Marking.
