There is a place (I think its near Warminster) called Dead Maids. Does anyone know how it got it name?Is there specific story behind this? we used to pass it on the way from the south to Wales when I was young and it always intrigued me x

A quick Google of "Warminster" + "Dead Maids" will give you a link to an AnswerBank answer from August 2002.
