Right, tried to start the Orion Diesel that's been standing for 6 months. Orange light didn't come on at all (glow plugs were on their way out before the car was left stood anyway). Turned the engine over anyway to redistribute oil and the car nearly started without plugs heating up - yay! So, why wouldn't the orange light come on? New plugs needed? New fuse? Any ideas? And would I be able to sort out myself or would I need to send to a garage? Thanks for any ideas as always!

It could be as simple as a bulb failed. Try a new set of glow plugs if you think they are needed and see what happens. It could be a relay or connection, somethings just stop working when the car is left standing but sort themselves out when the car is running for a while. It would probably start if you kept at it.
