I'm trying to find the name and location of a hill in Cumbria. I know - like looking for a needle in a haystack! My late father was stationed near Glenridding during his National Service - 1946ish. He told us many tales of his time there in a camp. Don't know if it was huts or tents. He was there in the wintertime and used to tell us how the Sergeant Major used to make them run up this hill before breakfast. He called it 1066 - so presume that was the height. He had fond memories of his time there. Would dearly love to find out where it is so could scatter some of his ashes there. Many thanks for any help.

The only hill under 2000 ft around Glenridding is Grenridding Dodd at 1045ft

A lot of walkers use Glen' as a base to go up Helvelyn but that would be a heck of a run before breakfast.
