calcs for chemicals are easier to work out in metric - so you have a round pool 4,6m diameter and 1m deep? That equates to 16,600 litres of water to treat

it is important to learn how to care for your pool correctly.. and start to understand what you need to do and when.
I found it ALL very overwhelming to start with - but your local pool shop will surely help and advise.
The temp of the water can affect how fast the chlorine gets used up... and sunlight too.. and there is so much to try to understand. One chemical can 'lock out' another if too high!
Dont be put off though.... you will get the jist of it with some practice!

Thankyou for that, yep its a bit scarey messing around with chemicals especially when its for children. but looking forward to watching them enjoy. will definately seek advice from an expert though not worth the risk to them
Its not so much the risk... I was in the learning phase.. and still all using the pool and no-one ever got ill! But its about understanding why the water is going cloudy, or green or why the chlorine is showing at 'zero' in the water despite there being tablets in the skimmer....
Enjoy!!!!
