I have just bought a DELL Dimention 5150 which runs XP, I have still got my old pc which runs Windows 98, can i connect the two together so that i can transfer stuff from one to the other?

Woud i be able to plug my broadband modem into the new one without trouble.

I have an external hard drive, can i plug this into the new one and transfer all the data to it?

Any other suggestions would be welcome.

how bout just removing the old hard drive set the jumper to cs or sl and install it in the new computer. then you can transfer all the data you want. There should be room in your new computer for a second hard drive.
