I have a new Dell PC which came with a Mcafee Anti Virus trial... I have also subcribed to NTL broadband which comes with their own free NTL Netguard anti virus package... can I install Netguard whilst I have this other anti virus running? Thanks in advance.

Never have two anti-virus programmes installed on the same PC. If the NTL one is free for the duration, stick with it. When the McAfee trial finishes, you will need to fork out about 40 to get the full version and about 20 a year to resubscribe for updates.

Alternatively there are some good free ones available such as Avast and AVG

Just seconing the above, I thought having two anti-virus packages on my pc at once would be great, twice the protection right? Wrong! one system crash or hang up after another until I uninstalled one of them. Secondly, 60 a year for McAfeeseems steep, check out F-Secure, 40 including a firewall and a years updates, plus, (more importantly!) it works really well!
