I wish to download an Excel add-on. How do I tell if my Excel 2010 is the 32 or 64 bit version?

It is almost certainly the 32 bit version as this is the default.

You would have had to make choices during the install of Excel to install the 64 bit version.

Sorry - I've found the answer in related questions. I had tried to find it using the search facility but nothing came up
In Search Programs and Files ( Start ) type pc operating system this will show you whether your operating system is running 32 or 64 bit.

WR.
>>>whether your operating system is running 32 or 64 bit.

That is not what he asked, he asked about Excel.

Even if his operating system was 64 bit it does not mean Excel would be 64 bit, it is more likely to be 32 bit.

Now I'm confused. my operating system is 64 bit. I may well have had to make choices when it was installed but that was some time ago and I probably just pushed 'Yes' buttons
if you click on the File tab and select Help then the info that you want is displayed on the rhs
