Firstly gents let me say this....it's not the winning.....it's the taking apart.

Maggie Thatcher, Boris Johnson, Stephen Hawking, Sir Clive Woodward, Austin Healy, James Arthur(?), Stuart Lancaster, David Cameron....
Your boys took ONE HELL OF A BEATING!

Rarely has the world witnessed anything as savage since someone decided to put the Christian's and the lions on the same bill.

I was literally agog at the scoreline. I was a tad miffed, truth be told as I had Wales to win by 11-16 points. I ripped up my betting slip with 20 minutes to go. That was destruction on a par with Dresden, but with less collateral damage.

Chris Ashton was about as much use as a catflap on a submarine, Tuilagi about as effective as a handbrake on a canoe. Biased though it sounds, Wales were simply majestic and completed the rout with confidence, style and panache.

When Robshaw gathered his boys under the posts as Halfpaenny slotted another kick somewhere in the second half I imagined the England captain was saying "Look boys, I don't know your plans for the summer but book your hols, as most of us will NOT be going to Australia".

Do you know what I find most shocking? It's that I've been out since 2 p.m. yesterday and am still able to type this as I've returned home after 11 hours drinking, Chinese takeaway on my lap, far far less inebriated than I planned or hoped to be!

Still, there's always next year.

Enjoyed Wordist, no trace left!
Thanks minty!
I'm away to bed now, got a tournament to referee tomorrow. I'm far more cautious these days, I leave 2 paracetamol and a pint of water at the bedside for when I get in, it really does make all the difference in the morning after a night on the pop!
G'night/morning all.
well done chill great Welsh performance, looking at the stats we tackled hard and numerous but didn't have it on the day. At one point I wanted to chop the legg off the 15 and 10, stop bl00dy kicking away posession you plonkers!, pretty brutal game, if you guys played every game like that you'd have won the WC by now. To coin a phrase from black adder, though, gloating is a sign of insecurity!
@ Chill - LoL! Enjoy your victory, and kudos on your ability to write a coherent piece after all that celebration! :) Thats a great parody of that Norwegian (?) football commentator, by the way...

Yep, England were well and truly beaten. First half was more or less even, I thought, but that second half was, from Englands perspective, truly awful. And giving away that many penalties was just criminal.

Wales' defence was awesome. Hard to believe that was more or less the same side that turned up on opening day against Ireland.

Now, if only Wales can play with that sort of passion, commitment and drive against the southern hemisphere teams......

Chilly my friend, sorting out who is responsible for the breakdown of the scrums is "pure guesswork" and the Welsh got the benefit of most decisions.

Bottom line......."men and boys"....you can guess which was which.

A fine and deserved victory for the Welsh.
