I'm currently reading this and I am enjoying it (although not when I read it at bedtime) I just wondered if anyone else has read it and what were your thoughts on it?

I am keen to read more of this authors books and again would like to know what peoples views on his work are

I have read all of the Logan Macrae
detective series. They are all set in
Scotland and are very good.
I tried to read Halfhead but gave up
after about 50 pages as I wasn't
sure what it was all about.
I've enjoyed all of the Stuart McBride books that I've read except the one you mentioned. The others are more straightforward crime novels but with a touch of humour. They are best read in the order they were written.

Just realised I had responses for this.
Thank you for responding.
I have another of his books on loan from the library so going to read that before I have a go at the Logan Macrae ones. I found it a bit tricky to get into but once I looked passed what I didn't understand, I got into it.
Thank you for the tips Tricia
I have read all of Stuart MacBride's books and I love his Logan McRae series starting with Cold Granite. I love his style, his humour, his darkness. I found Halfhead to be quite dark and very strange, I'm not a great fan of sci-fi type books but I;ve now read it 3 times. Still prefer his Logan McRae books though and his latest one "close to the bone" is excellent. They must be read in order though.
