i downloaded a rmvb file and i was wondering how do i get it to play in real player ppl keep saying its a real player file but quicktime realplayer they dun recognize it does it work on a divx kinda codec or sumhin HELLLLPPPP Pllllslslslslslsssss

go to control panel and open folder options,click on file types, scrol down till you find you ( RMVB ) file and click on it ,you can then tell what program you want it to use to open that file, that if your program surports the file type, you can all ways go back and change it for another program if it dose not work.
Or right click on the file and "Open With".
For anything that doesn't work in Windows Media Player, I use "Media Player Classic" and I've recently watched a couple of rmvb file using that.
If you don't already have this prog, I'd get it.

Incidentally, the file suffix stands for "Real Media variable bitrate" so it should definitely play in Real Player. I'll not bore you with a "variable bitrate" explanation!!
