Where Has Ad Block Plus Gone?

I synched my desktop and laptop and sooo wish I had not.
My major problem is Ad Block Plus (and all other add ons) have gone.
When I try to re download ABP the computer say it cannot as the file is corrupt!
I have tried different sites and the same thing keeps happening.
Any ideas on what I can do?
I have tried system restore to a past date and the problem is still there.
Help please!

Try resetting Firefox before reinstalling ABP. (Help > Troubleshooting Information > Reset Firefox [it's at the top right of the page]).

Firefox is working ,history and bookmarks are there (OH would of missed them!) and most importantly ABP has been re installed.
OK so I have to get things looking like they where but a chance to have something new for the background.Well worth it
