Julie Burchill gets a bit of stick sometime, but I suppose she does occasionally say some dopey things.

But she's written some really good books. I've just finished reading Sugar Rush.

It's nice to read books that are set where you live, and so they're full of places you know.

Anyway, I think there should be a Julie Burchill amnesty ... where we give her a bit of a break, and accept that most of what she says is tongue in cheek.

You could probably find a clip on youtube. It's the reason she sticks to print. Her barbed witticisms sound a bit silly delivered in a voice like that.
