The atheist of today, thinks that in this modern nuclear, space age it has become old-fashioned to believe in an invisible god.

Yet today every worshiper who claims to have a atheist god is challenged to act as witness for his god. In fact, all the gods, who are worshiped as gods are challenged to produce their witnesses to prove that they are gods or are the one living and true God.

Every reasonable person will agree that there is no use in worshiping and serving a false god.

Should I read the Denton book, LG?
Don't know about 6.00, Khandro, but we are taking step daughter and family out to dinner at 8.00. Can't see us discussing evolution punctuated or otherwise, though.
And a message to Jom's computer: Get well soon!
@ v_e Depends on what you are looking for, re Dentons book. If you want a good overview of evolutionary theory, then no, there are far better books, like Jerry Coynes "Why Evolution is True".

If you are just interested in how some fairly basic errors in misunderstanding can be represented in a fairly dogmatic fashion - in part I am sure to be provocative, as with the title - then you might find it interesting ;) Personally, I was irritated by his misunderstandings, and not a big fan of his prose....
It's the apologetics I'm interested in, LG, particularly when coming from a genuine scientist. I have read the Coyne book.
goodlife #With the exception of me there is no God”—Isaiah 45:5.#

Would that be the same Isaiah who said the Nile would dry up and become a foul smelling ditch.?
Would that be the same Isaiah who said Damascas was about to be destroyed 2500 yrs ago and it's still here.?
Would that be the same Isaiah who said Judah would not be conquered and was then destroyed by Persia ?
#goodlife you continually appear to post unintelligible prattle #
#Goodlife, you really do spout some ridiculous nonsense#

Come on ABers be fair he does get it right sometimes albeit with a little
help from khandro . He did say quite clearly :

#Modeller@ No, I don’t believe in Santa Claus nor do I believe in the Tooth Fairy.#
Now that was a simple straight answer to a simple question, and in his own words. I think that was commendable.

Question Author
//Yes you really do spout some ridiculous nonsense/

This Book of books is the oldest in existence. It has reached the greatest circulation of any, and still is the “world’s best seller.” No other book has been translated into so many languages, more than 6,000, more than the average person has ever heard of, words.

There are some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and there are those to be chewed and digested. And there are also those, I might add, that are not worth reading in the first place!

So for those that can see clearly, when it comes to books, an observation made some 3,000 years ago is today as appropriate as ever: “To the making of many books there is no end, and much devotion to them is wearisome to the flesh.”—Ecclesiastes 12:12
A quote that serves as an admirable critique of the Bible itself.
Weird how you managed to correctly give where that quote had come from when you find it so hard with other people's, by the way.
