I am currently recruiting for a new team at our work.
I have just seen an application for a young man D.O.B 1995....
1995 I think to myself, he is a kid...... Oh hang on he is 18 years old.
I was in High school in 1995, it just doesnt seem that long ago and yet he is applying for work!

I've been watching This Life on Virgin On Demand. I remember watching it in 1997 and the characters were around the same age as me. Can't believe its more than 15 years ago.

You can use a particular year as a benchmark, it is often suprising how much one has done yet at the same time, it seems like time has flown.
I agree, watching re-runs of TV shows and realising it was first broadcast in 198? / 199? and thinking "is that really how old this show is??" is a strabge one
