Hi ive posted on this subject before but it was not exactly what i needed,(thanks for trying)

My computer is running on Windows proffesional because i hav re booted it but this is not the OS my computer is designed to use. I was using Home edition until recently when my computer was infected with a virus which i was unable to delete so i tried re-booting my pc with some cds i purchased from packard bell but they dont work, even though i have used them before. I was told that i have to disconect the dvd drive an use the cd-r drive as my dvd drive is not functioning properly. I have tried changing the BIOS settings but it does not work.

Could anyone please give me help on what i should do.

thanks,,

although it may not be the os it was designed to use do you actually experince any issues when running xp (i guess) pro.

if you don't experience any problems running pro then i would say leave it as is
