Can Anyone Explain How This Was Done

I remember seeing a man seated on a plain upright chair and the chair being lifted into the air by four persons one on each corner and using one finger each and being able to raise the chair off the floor. Is this a trick and how does it work?

Dunno bug we did it as kids in primary school. Wierd.
Its a variation on the "light as a feather, stiff as a board" idea
A couple of references here; essentially it involves subconsciously synchronising their efforts.
