Strawberry Sherbets were my absolute faves...and still are. There's a lovely old fashioned sweet shop in Burford, Oxfordshire and whenever we're there (frequently), I have to go and get a 'quarter'. Yum!

Cherry Lips, bought by the quarter, tasted like perfume but nice.

Liquorice - the red one, and also sherbet fountains. Spangles were great too!

Hi - when I was a kid, you could get long pieces of licorice in yellow ( fruity flavour ) and orange ( aniseedy flavour )colours and they tasted lovely. Anyone else remember these or know where I could get some?


The old selection boxes with pipes and laces were great too.
