Can't believe some of the players chosen. John Barnes?!!! Come on! Where's Dixie Dean, the leading scorer of all time? What about Stanley Mathews? It's as though they only started 50 years ago never mind 150! Who else should have been chosen?

I didn't think the royal mail used living people in their stamps apart from royalty, must have changed that, anyway, I agree about Dixie Dean, but there is noone from the recent era, what about Beckham?

>>>How can they include Jimmy Greaves

Perhaps because only two other players have scored more goals for England than he did? (However the question could then be asked as to why Gary Lineker, who scored more goals than Greaves, isn't featured).

>>> . . . Kevin Keegan

Perhaps because they're trying to recognise an overall contribution to football (including a successful managerial career) as well as on-the-pitch performance? (But then perhaps Sir Alf Ramsey or Sir Bobby Robson should be there, or even Sir Alex Ferguson? . . . or perhaps Trevor Brooking, for his work for the FA?).

>>> or Bryan Robson

Er, who?
;-)
Hope they get it right this time. Last footballer issue had a picture of Bobby Charlton called Duncan Edwards.
