When I try to drag/highlight a page of typing or a section on the web, the highlight 'sticks' and only highlights a couple of words. I did a System Restore a few days ago - see previous thread, and everything else now seems OK. How can I get my drag/highlighting to work properly? Thanks all.

Does the highlight problem only occur in your Web Browser?

If so, what is the browser?

As a test you could try installing a different browser e.g. FireFox, Opera etc?

Instead of drag/highlight does manual highlight with Copy and Paste work?
e.g.

- Highlight the first character at start of the text
- Position your mouse curser at the last part of the text you want to copy, then hold the Shift key and press the mouse Left click. That should highlight all the text.
- Then Right click anywhere on the text and select 'Copy'. You can then 'Paste' the text into an application.
When I have a problem with 'start to finish' highlighting I usually try again starting at the end and then moving back to the front.
Does that work?

I am using Mozilla. Yes pinky, the manual highlight works fine but I am used to the doing it the other way. Maybe I will have to get used to manual highlight ... I also find that the scroll bar on the right isn't scrolling every time either, it seems to stick. Factor, I've tried bottom to top as well, it is the same. Is there anything else I can do? thanks so far !

what happens if try do the same using the Internet Explorer browser?

Pinky, the scroll bar still sticks in Explorer, but the drag/highlighting seems better.
OK. Try downloading and installing another browser such as Opera and test to see if that is any better. It may be that your existing installations are somehow messed up after the restore, its worth checking.
