cleaning mohair

I recently bought a beautiful mohair jersey, I've only worn it once because I dont know how to wash it. Any ideas? thanks

Hand wash using a liquid specifically for delicates. Don't use water thats too hot and try to keep the temperature consistent. Rince well using warm water. Carefully squeeze out as much water as possible, then lay the jersey out on a towel, roll it up and soak up more of the water. When you've done that you can then lay the jersey flat on another towel (out of reach of cats - I speak from experience) and get the jersey to the right shape, then just leave it to dry.

Ah thats great, thank you Plocket and yes I can imagine about the cats, mine are little devils lol
And....a good investment for use with jumpers and stuff that needs to be dried flat is one of those frames made of net that you can stand over the bath...or anywhere come to that...lay your jumper on it and it will dry faster and the air can circulate around it ,avoiding that foisty smell you sometimes get from drying stuff indoors.
