Question About Anti Virus Scan

I'm running the usual weekly scheduled McAfee Full Scan and there was an indication 15 minutes after it started that it had completed 7% of the scan - around 25,000 items.

Roughly speaking that is forecasting well above the 240,000 items for a completed scan.

Two hours later, checking progress, I see thar 62% of the scan 169,000 items has been completed.

The question I have is that I have noticed there are large numbers of item codes I don't normally see that are marked as follows :-

......\package_for_KB961501_client_0~31bf86ad364.

And many more of this type.

I'm aware that KB numbers refer to Microsoft Windows Updates that get successfully installed from time to time but wonder if anyone can explain if this is a matter that has any significance as far as anything untoward is happening?

So far, no issues have been found and/or fixed.

I have had McAfee for years now-it can worry you when you see some of the stuff rolling by and I sometimes see strange things too but I've never had a problem. We find that the 'problems' are usually found in the first 30% of the scan-then fixed automatically. My completed scan is usually between 250,000 and 270,000.
