i listen to the news, and read papers, including looking on line, and hadn't heard about this case until today, when AOG posted it.
Ah...but that in itself doesn't mean there's been a news embargo. It just means that you didn't see the story in all the various news outlets available.

Likewise, I could say that there's been an embargo on the results of Tottenham's game last weekend. There hasn't...it's just that I don't read the sports pages.
a story like this would have made frontpage news, especially if it's in the Mail.

Since I posted on this story at eight minutes past two in the afternoon and it had at that time only been posted on the Daily Mail's web site, I was perfectly within my right to ask;

"This trial doesn't seem to have attracted much media attention, I wonder why"?

Did all the other news outlets, take a lie-in yesterday?

No doubt when it all comes to light they will all turn out to be foreign types.
