Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

o.....k...... this tells me that this is not for me! Puff Pastry wow! I can see the back end of Particular and hungry but whilst puff past does mean struggle to overtake its not exactly a recognised phrase. I find the construction of some of these clues just too vague. Auracaria always leaves me with that lovely moment on working a clue out that every part of the clue is used and makes sense but Paul, no. The odd clue is fine but there are more and more tenuous structures creeping in making these crosswords more guess work than clever construction. I will have to go back to the Telegraph and maybe the i but that one too has its moments....... Its a shame I have enjoyed these crosswords up to now.

A bit late for me to comment but I agree absolutely. I have called on the G. on this forum more than once to relieve Paul (at least) from their duties as I find there is no satisfaction involved in solving their puzzles: just complicated but no fun, unlike the incomparably superior Ar. You heve formulated our dissatisfaction beautifully: high time it were acted upon!
