I opened a packet of festive fudge that Mrs Z's dad bought us for Christmas the night before last and had 4 bits. Came home last night do find the box shoved under a stool, an empty packet on the floor and a very guilty looking dog. No ill effects. Must have been too much to resist! He's never done anything like that before.

I've never thought about leaving things lying around, my dog is usually well mannered, and won't go near others food/drink (raids the bin, though). Last Christmas, I woke up from a little kip and couldn't find my LARGE glass of bailey's. I soon forgot about the drink when I saw my dog all over the place. I went to ring a vet, then it dawned on me. The dog was drunk!...

It's a good job it wasn't chocolates, otherwise you would have had a very poorly dog.
Well; who can resist festive fudge ?
Tee hee - A Self-serving dog. Leave his lead hanging about tonight, maybe he'll go self-walkies too!
We had a dog that ate a tub of margarine in the back of the car whilst we shopped!

It is Tilly. As i say he's never (in his 9 and a half years) done anything like it before. All choccies now secured away!
Several years ago my GSD ate a whole bar of Green and Black's 70% cocoa chocolate.
We had to rush her to the vets and she was really ill for a few days. We then had to feed her with charcoal for a week to make sure the poison was absorbed.

She has never done it since!
Oh bless the naughty boy !! Thank goodness all is ok. They never stop surprising us do they ? x

I had to sleep with the dog to stop her running around and bashing her head. She vomited on me several times, it was worse than dealing with a drunk teenager!
sure it wasn't mrs z?
i reckon mrs z

No not Mrs Z. I was last one out and first one home. Except my daughter but she's (supposedly) on a diet. Besodes when I picked the packet up the dawg did his 'hang-dog / guilty / I'm sorry' face.
