Child's Saving Plan ??

I have a god daughter born last Christmas Day. I would like to set up (or have someone set up) an account/savings scheme whereby myself, grandparents, uncles etc can add to it. The parents are happy for this as they don't want her to get double pressies every Christmas as that would be a bit of a waste of money. This way she can have pressies for Christmas and have a nice fund by the time she is 18.

Can anyone suggest a good scheme etc whereby irregular amounts of money can be added willy nilly?

Cheers

When i set up an account for my daughter, i just went to my bank and opened a child savings account there. It's lloyds bank.
Unless you keep it secret, though, you may find she can access the money well before she's 18 if her name is on the account.
you can set up a high yeilding online savings account. You will earn more interest, that way, even if you put a little money, it will still earn a really good rate.

Im not an Adviser, every words from me is only my opinion.
