Hard water does effect your body but it more likely to be the kidneys.i lived in surrey which had hard water and i suffered badly from kidney stones which seem to have disappeared now i have moved north.
Hard water will have no effect on your intestines or kidneys.
If you live in a hard water area, then you are lucky enough to have mineral water coming out of your tap - the stuff that people pay a fortune for in bottles. AND it's subject to umpteen safety checks, unlike the bottled stuff.
