I have recently brought a t reg 1.4 clio (petrol) and it seems to have occasional starting problems! It turns over but the engine doesn't kick in! If I leave it for 10 mins or so it will then start fine! It doesn't sound like it has a battery problem and needs no extra 'rev' to get it going once it has started. Starts fine in the cold and if it hasn't been driven for a while but will then for no apparent reason does not start! If it doesn't do it all the time i'm not sure a garage will help me! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thank god someone else has the same problem as me!! I've got an R-reg clio and it'll start fine in both hot and cold conditions and just generally most of the time. However, i sometimes get situations where i've been driving, park and stop the car and once I get back into the car to go off, it just won't start. Its not the battery as i can hear the car trying to fire up but it seems like it just turns over but won't start.

I've had the coil pack changed and been assured that it isn't the coils or battery. If anyone else knows what it could possibly be, i'd really apreciate your help!! [email protected]
