The fact that there's page after page of similar items suggest this isn't a one off.

Is it me or is it the height of ungratefulness? Imagine the hurt if the person who gave those presents saw the ads!

ok seriously to sell an unwanted gift isn't in the best possible taste selling one you haven't unwrapped is quite funny if it is real as it could be anything... imagine the buyers face when they open it up and it turns out to be a dead hamster sent by a disgruntled ex or worse.... high risk purchasing strategy

That particular listing has closed at over £50, but I wonder how many of the bids are phoney, and wouldn't be honoured.

Im kinda hoping they are Canary, would serve the greedy money grasping sellers right!

I think 'll go in Poundland next year, pick up a fivers worth of stuff, wrap it and stick it ebay as unwanted, unwrapped gifts. Ye Gods, people have more money than sense.
thanks for the best answer.... I'm just warped... and I had an ex that would be capable of something like that
In previous years I have added listed items like this on my "Watch" list to see how much they money they make at the end of the auction - then as it is in yout Watched Items listing you can look afterwards to see if the "winning bidder" puts feedback - 9 times out of 10 they don't ................ I too think they are cheap things to feed the gullible!
That sounds like a scam to me.
I have used my x-ray vision on that black sparkly lot and reckon the long box is spaghetti and the box on the side could be a tube of tomato paste. In other words, half a spag bol.
I wouldn't touch 'em with a barge pole.
Three does seem to be a lot of them - one seller that I clicked on has elven separate lots of unwanted presents, seems a bit fishy.
You can call anything an unwanted Christmas gift - I had three lots of calendars with cats on, I've got one already :-(
its clearly fake - if you were trying to make some money you would open them and sell individually getting their worth - if 'she always gets nice gifts from her friends' then chances are they spent more than what they made doing this.

who in their right mind would take a chance of not opening them?

i am astonished that anyone is stupid enough to bid! maybe one or 2 people would be naive but loads seem to be bidding!
they actually believe the story!
they will get 7 items from the pound shop no doubt
Nobody would risk selling a valuable item for a small amount of money. One or more of the parcels could be a designer dress/jacket/trousers/handbag etc. worth hundreds and you put it on Ebay unopened? I don't think so.

They cause a great flurry of activity on ebay at this tie of year
They are nothing but scams and I have absolutely not sympathy for any buyer paying £100's of pounds for wrapped up boxes
And this one in particular
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271130278605?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
Was shilled yp to over a £1000 but at the very end the seller removed her final shill

It was relisted and eventually sold for £304 by said shiller
Serves her right
It beggars belief that some people will fall for this. I'm surprised eBay allow it.
