Did anyone else go racing today?

It was dry and bright in Norfolk so we went to Fakenham Races and had a very enjoyable day. No winners today though!

It was disappointing for everyone that Cheltenham was cancelled, not least for the new Channel 4 team who spent the whole programme filling time.

How do you think they did?

I thought they did well, excellent live link from Nicky Hendersons stable

Agree Elvis, and thrown together at fairly short notice too.
I still think the BBCs decision to stop showing racing is wrong and that they gave in to the "Fluffy Bunny" brigade after The Grand National two years ago
Channel 4 racing and the Morning Line programme have been going seriously downhill for years

Punters want betting info, going info, tips, form guides etc - not celebrity guests, quizzes, and the other cr ap they fill the programmes with.

Nick Luck is so far up his own ar se and is annoyingly condescending

Which is why I never watch them these days, RUK and attheraces give the punter what Channel 4 racing doesn't

You tell it like it is Joeluke!
I love Fakenham - really great little course & friendly people too.

Too far from me for a Winter day out, but I'll try to time a bike trip to catch a meeting there in the Spring :)
Have been to Fakenham a few times and enjoyed every minute.
I doubt the horses did though.
Was not at the meeting but backed 7/1 winner Minella Special..Did the channel four racing folk also work for at the races.
