you can get them in lloyds chemist for about 15 quid
Lloyds & Boots.
I have one, must admit I don't find them particularly helpful but haven't used for some time.
I used one of these when I was in labour, I nearly chucked it out of the window!
Didn't do anything for me so I gave it to the old lady next door to try......she thinks it's great.
If an NHS physiotherapist has advised using one, they may be able to loan you one to see how you get on with it before you buy.

I have one somewhere. Didn't seem to do a lot for me, which was disappointing given the hype and enthusiasm around them. But maybe you will have a different experience. Any good Chemist shop should have them.
I have one, and it works if you are in severe pain, as the pain the tens machine inflicts is greater than the back/muscle pain etc. I use mine on the "wave" setting, it slowly increases in power, then ebbs away, then back etc. I do find that it works for me, and after using it for an hour I feel much better for several hours, although i think the effect may be psycological, a different pain to take your mind of the primary pain.
Annie.
i brought mine from my local chemist total cost was £27.99 that was also with some spare pads I came in from work today with terrible pain in my lower back half hour with the tens machine on and the pain was eased
