Can someone help with parsing on these.

Answer Withes (sticks) but why the rest
12a. Turned over papers bought to light.
Think answer is idea'd or ivyed but why?
6d. Sort of fixture needing right linesman.
Answer Homer ( home = fixture + r). Why linesman?

6d - "linesman" is cryptic for poet, i.e. one who writes lines (of verse)
