Search Results In Chronological Order?

I just did a search for the Gadget Show using the box above. Why don't results appear chronologically? What criteria is used for them appearing?

I think the search engine looks for your results then runs the well known "eeny meeny miny mo" procedure on them.

TO be fair, it is chatterbank...

I did also look to see if I could figure out any order they might be in, and can't, they're not alphabetical by title or post, date order ignoring the year, time order ignoring the date... or any other order that I can see.

I'd blame it on the techies not being sufficiently supervised during the various "upgrades" to the site..... maybe Ab Editor could add this to the "to-do" list for the next updates?
