Roughly how many teaspoons of hot chilli powder equals one small fresh hot chilli ??

Keep in mind that only the seeds and interior white rind of the pepper contributes the capsacin for heat, about one fourth to not more than one half teaspoon will do the job...
First of all I would not use chilli powderas a lot of it contains other spices such as cumin. Use cayenne pepper which is just ground dried red chillies. How much to use is a bit of a guess? How hot is a chilli? You can always add more but can't take it out so go carefully.
