I heard the JCB song for the first time yesterday and immediately contacted the bookies to put a bet on it being xmas no.1.

Its already only 7/4!!!

Has it got any chance over the Pop Idol/ X factor (or whatever lame programme it is) winners song? (current favourites)

Note: How can they be favourites when nobody knows who or what their song will be?

Its a great song isnt it

www.jcbsong.co.uk has the video, and info on Nizlopi the band behind it

But Girls Aloud, Westlife, Crazy Frog, X-Factor winner (whoever its going to be) will be bought in their masses by the hordes of easily brainwashed pre-teens etc.

Ive just been to that site and its the best designed site Ive seen this year! It was also the first time Id heard the song and its very moving. They were mentioned in our local rag a few weeks ago because there is some connection to Glossop (but I forget what). Cheers JD.

I really, really wanted Fairytale of New York (my all time favourite Christmas song) to be No. 1 this year, but if it isn't that, I would absolutely love the jcb song to be No. 1. It is just such a lovely record, and makes me smile and get a bit misty eyed sometimes when I hear it. My wee boy (26months) loves it too, as he's a big fan of "diggers" just now, and it's just soooo catchy

"I'm Jake I'm 5 and my dad's Bruce Lee"

GO Fairytale of New York!!!!!!!!
You're having a laugh aren't you? I hate catchy kiddies songs like this getting into the charts. It's ok if you have a little son or grandson but for those of us who don't, songs like this and 'Bob the builder' should just be played on childrens TV progs, they're so monotonous.Perhaps we should have a childrens pop chart separate from the grown ups. Please don't send me hate mail I'm not a bad person. :-)
..b..b..b..but it's not a "kids" song..!!..
re X Factor, all the finalisty record the same song so whoever wins, the song is ready to release. This year the song is called 'That's My Goal' and is due to be released 19Dec, for either Brenda, Andy, Journey South or Shane.
A separate children's chart? Great idea! Then Westlife need never bother us grown-ups ever again!

sorry to nit pick kick3m0n but isnt it 'im luke im 5 and my dads bruce lee' ?

for ages i thought it was some sort of transformer reference ie something along the lines of 'im Lukon 5 and my dads bruce lee' !!!!!

please tell me that someone else thought this too !!

sadly westlife of x factor will take some beating.

i also love fairytale of new york but am not a fan of old stuff being re-released.

please tell me that someone else thought this too !!

Fear not, Mattk, for you are not alone. After you with the ear trumpet, old boy.

phew !

join me my brother !

JCB song - heard it for the first time on the radio this morning. Totally surprised, not what I expected at all! Saw the video on tv tonight and been sending the link posted above by JackDanielsU to everyone I can think of. Love it!!!

Ha ha, so I wasn't the only one searching on Google for this Mysterious Lukon 5 figure from the A-team or Transformers.

I went to the site and read that the guy was called Luke and was five and then the penny dropped and I told my housemate, my girlfriend and everyone else that would listen.

Come on the JCB Song!

Missprim, the JCB Song is world's apart from Bob the Builder, Mr Blobby, that awful KFC song and all that lot. It's well worth listening to, and the video and website are great too.

Come on the JCB Song!

I haven't heard the rest of Nizlopi's album, any good?

Said I'm Luke, I'm five, and my dad's Bruce Lee. Drives me round in his JCB.
I'm Luke, I'm five, and my dad's Bruce Lee. Drives me round in his JCB.
I'm Luke, I'm five, and my dad's Bruce Lee. Drives me round in his JCB.
I'm Luke, I'm five, and my dad's Bruce Lee. Drives me round

And we're holdin' up the bypass
Weh Oh

Me and my dad havin a top laugh
Weh Oh
And I'm sittin on the toolbox
oh

And I'm so glad I'm not in school, Boss
So glad I'm not in school

I said

I'm Luke, I'm five, and my dad's Bruce Lee. Drives me round in his JCB.
I'm Luke, I'm five, and my dad's Bruce Lee. Drives me round in his

Aw, I'm Luke, I'm five, and my dad's Bruce Lee. Drives me round in his JCB.
I'm Luke, I'm five, and my dad's Bruce Lee. Drives me round in his JCB.

This is just to illustrate how monotonous this song is but I'm giving up now as I am out numbered by the people who have bought this i.e those of you who have young children or grandchildren and those of you who have been celebrating Christmas too soon!!! :-) I say this because the people who like things to be repeated over and over again are children and inebriates.Merry Christmas everyone xx Did you notice the first person to reply was called JackDaniels? Say no more!
