reloading windows 98

my old tiny computer crashed and I was forced to use the reset to manufacturers original settings.Thought I had the correct windows 98 registration no. but was wrong.Now unable to proceed past this registration page.

have new comp. now but want to pass on the old one to some oap friends. Anybody help ?

have had to disconnect old comp.whilst assembling new desks and new comp. in home office. will reconnect in next 48 hrs.

am no whiz on these matters - so how do I check this?
