EXCEL doesn't seem to be listed on my 'All Programmes'. I have Windows Vista - shouldn't EXCEL automatically be on it?

Windows 8 Pro. And, for the record, there is a Start button... :-)

"I'm absolutely loving Windows 8"

Me too.... and 1 out of the 3 major driver/software glitches I've had have been fixed in the last two weeks (displaylink)

Just waiting for the WiDi issues to be sorted and samsung to fix their software updater.
I have a Microsoft Surface, methyl, running Windows RT. I'll be getting the full Windows 8 Pro version as soon as it comes out next year...
"What tablet do you use? I am genuinely interested."

Why would it have to be a tablet.... I'm using it on a ultrabook (without a touch screen) and it's fine.
I'm just waiting for Toshiba to finalise their own drivers for my Satellite Pro too, Chuck...
Ah, sorry, didn't spot MR saying he actually had a tablet.

We have an RT tablet in for evaluation at work and it's great, the pro versions should be stunning if the type covers work well.
Yep, not least because GoToMyPC will work on them natively. LogMeIn on Windows RT is rubbish...
I still think that Atari TOS was, and will always remain, better than anything from Microsoft! (Pagestream, which was as good as the latest version of Quark Xpress, fitted on just a dozen floppies - and cost me 250 quid in 1989!)
I'm still sad that workbench (amiga) didn't really go anywhere, at the time of version 3 it was far better then anything from anyone else.
BTW, potty64, apologies for all the resident geeks going off topic on your thread.
Potty64:
Apologies for nicking your thread but I think that we've established that you need to download Excel Viewer (if you only want to view a spreadsheet) or OpenOffice (if you want to create one free of charge). Alternatively, you can buy Excel.

Chuck:
I'm beginning to feel old!
(OK, 'older'!)
